About AFL
A Famous Lyre began as a concept back in 2006 in Liverpool, with a set of designs and draft of a brand name and logo from founder Andy Knappett. Funds for the brand ran out quickly and the idea was shelved until 2008, when a re-surge of funding allowed for the first prints of the summer range 'Juice' to be printed by hand in limited numbers.
Following the success of the short run of the 'Juice' pieces, a winter range for 2009 was pieced together and with it afamouslyre.com was created. With further investment the official 'AFL Winter 2010' range was launched in Nottingham in December 2010.
Now with a host of club promotion nights planned for 2011 and the Summer range in its early design stages, A Famous Lyre clothing is moving from strength to strength, with plans to move into stores across England in the early months of the new year.
